Over the past four weeks of the new semester, TMC’s 3rd Circle EXCO met with aspiring mentors and mentees in search for potential members. It was a great time getting to know everyone better and it was an even harder time selecting our final members.
Soon after our new members were informed, we had our first TMC 3rd Circle event – Family Dinner! We formally welcomed our 40 mentees and 50 mentors here last Friday night, 13 Sept 2019.
The night started off with President, Daryl Gan, giving a short introduction to the flow of the night. The TMC Family Dinner kickstarts the mentee-mentor journey for the Academic Year 19/20. In his short introduction, he also shared a little on how he hopes the Circle will have a fruitful journey together. Following his speech, Daryl passed the mic onto our Odyssey Chairmen, Jan and Ian. They took the opportunity to share more about the Odyssey itself, highlighting the memorable Bean Bag chats and the roles and responsibilities of the Organising Committee. After the formalities were done, dinner began, and the conversations got moving. It was heart-warming to see the mentees and mentors initiate conversations on their own and The Alcove became a lively space!

We look forward to seeing full strength at our next club event, The Union, happening in week 8 (5 – 6 October)!
Coming up even sooner is the Unilever Company visit on 27 September! It’ll definitely be an eye-opening and enriching experience for all who come. Stay tuned to find out how it all goes.
